Since our first guest registered on November 15, 2017, the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Mercy Hospital Joplin has supported 437 families, welcoming them for a combined total of 2,304 visits.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room Offers families of pediatric patients (ages 0-21) a place to rest and regroup just steps away from their child's hospital room. It is a small oasis of calm and normalcy amidst the tense, chaotic medical setting.
Our Family Room is Open to:
- Parents with newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Families of pediatric patients (0-21) requiring extended hospital stays
- Families of trauma victims (i.e. auto accidents) involving children 21 years or younger
Our 850 sq. ft Family Room Offers:
- A Serenity Room for napping and relaxation
- Kitchen Area
- Family Room and Seating Area
- Laundry and Shower Facilities
Families Have Access To:
- Complimentary snacks and beverages
- Television
- WiFi Access
